Contractor Safety Passport (1 Day Refresher) Course for the Quarrying Industries
Who should attend?
For people who: Have previously attended the two day course and now need to renew their existing passport. Contractors working in the extractive and mineral processing and related manufacturing industries. (This course is not intended for hauliers or the mining sector) To qualify the passport holder must attend this course before the passport expiry date. If your passport has expired, you will need to attend both days of the 2 day course.
To provide course members with: A basic level of health and safety and environmental knowledge to work within the extractive and mineral processing and related manufacturing industries; Knowledge that is up to date with any changes in legislation or industry best practice.
The course includes
- The causes of accidents and incidents
- The importance of avoiding hazards and Risk
- Safety & risk management
- Occupational health risks within the quarry environment
- Behavioural safety

The course is designed to be highly engaging, interactive and enlightening. Successful completion of the course leads to the issue of an MPQC/SPA Contractor Safety Passport that is valid for a period of 3 years and a nationally recognised qualification - MPQC Level 2 Award in Understanding Safe Working for Contractors in Extractives and Building Products Industries Sites (QCF).
