To provide individuals with: An overview of the role of hauliers/drivers within the sector, A basic awareness of Legislation, An understanding of a day in the life of a road haulier within the extractive and mineral processing industry, Tips to know what to look for, The skills to confidently deal and communicate effectively with hauliers, To create a positive working relationship with the haulier community, The course includes: The Role of the Haulier, Legislation Awareness, Industry Schemes and Compliance, Driver CPC and Licencing, Documentation and the Movement of Goods, Tachographs, The Basics of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive, Vehicle Inspections – what’s required, Haulier PPE, Driver Wellbeing, Communicating with drivers, Managing conflict, Dispelling the myth, Working Together, Vulnerable Road Users,

Duration: 2 days.

Based in a training room the day is packed full of a number of interactive activities that are combined with a number of blended learning techniques leading to an extremely thought provoking and highly stimulating day.  It tackles a number of core communication skills which will help an individual become more confident and effective in the workplace.
