Who should attend?

This course is ideal for employees who work in a customer facing role including and involving weighbridge duties and partial or full involvement with site activities. It will provide a good foundation in safety knowledge including understanding the requirements for controlling vehicle and visitor safety. There are many core skills embedded throughout the course on how to deal effectively with customers, communication, service and learning to deal with conflict.

Aims

To enable individuals to: Understand how important the weighbridge is to the running of the business Have a better understanding of the reasons for ensuring safety Be more aware of site hazards and how you can get actively involved in making the workplace safer Understand the importance of good quality inductions and vehicle safety Develop and build sustainable relationships Have improved communication techniques Have the knowledge and tools necessary to improve customer service, and be better equipped to deal with conflict Understand the importance of team work and excellence thinking when carrying out duties

The course includes:

  1. An introduction to safety

  2. The importance of reporting and benefits to the individual and business

  3. Site safety awareness including visitors, customers and vehicles

  4. Communication skills when dealing with customers and others

  5. Developing relationships and being able to deal with conflict

  6. The importance of excellent customer service and benefits for everyone

Duration and Delivery Options

Based in a training room the day is packed full of a number of interactive activities that are combined with a number of blended learning techniques leading to an extremely thought provoking and highly stimulating day. It tackles a number of subjects from safety and site awareness, customer service and conflict, which will help an individual become more confident, effective and allow them to contribute and be involved to create a safer workplace.
