Industry Trainer (Driver CPC & SHE – Extractives) – Job Opportunity

MP Skills is the leading provider of training and assessment to the extractive, contracting and mineral processing industries.

We are seeking a qualified Driver CPC &SHE Trainer, familiar with and competent to   deliver industry specific qualifications and specialist training courses that meets the needs of several Accreditation Organisations such as JAUPT, DVSA and MP Awards.

The individual will be responsible for the delivery of a range of approved Driver CPC Courses and, where applicable, MP Skills industry specific SHE courses.

The post will be predominately field based, located south of the Midlands, although the ability to cover the whole of the UK, if needed, is necessary. Due to the nature of Driver training the standard working week is Tuesday to Saturday. A company car is included as part of an attractive package. Occasional night work may be needed resulting in overnight stays to perform on-site assessments.

You will posses

  • Minimum Level 3 in training and education or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely or above
  • Specific industry experience within quarrying and mineral extractives haulage
  • Excellent customer facing communication skills, written and verbal, able to liaise with personnel at all levels
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Able to prioritise workloads
  • Full driving licence
  • A self-motivated, ‘can do’ mentality
  • Willingness to work remotely throughout the country

Ideal candidates will also possess

  • Driver Qualification Cardholder
  • Transport Manager CPC
  • JAUPT Approved Trainer
  • Knowledge of delivering JAUPT CPC courses
